There is a process that staff will use each day when logging into the POS. This involves setting some initial parameters in order to begin using the POS for the day, so that the POS will allow for specific permissions assigned to the staff user, as well as properly attribute accrued tips and track other actions.
Follow these steps:
1. Enter PIN. Enter the PIN that was issued to you for your user account role for either Staff or Manager. Setting PINs for Users.
2. Cash drawer. Select the correct cash drawer from the dropdown. Note - the cash drawer is setup at the Dashboard level (i.e., found within POS -> Drawer)
3. Set Till. Enter the amount of money that is in the Till. Note - this only needs to be done once per day, when the staff person is logging in.
4. Click 'Open'
