Force a sync with Revel for products or inventory (Manual sync)

How to update missing products, add new products from Revel before the end of day sync, or sync inventory after updating on Revel.

If you add new items on Revel or adjust inventory on Revel, those items will sync to Vines OS at the end of the day, unless you do a manual, forced sync.

Update Products or Inventory from Revel

In Vines OS to Revel > Settings

On the top right, click Sync products OR Sync inventory

You will see a black status bar at the bottom with confirmation that products or inventory have been updated from Revel.
NOTE: When forcing a synchronization, PLEASE wait until you see the completed confirmation message in the black status bar at the bottom of the page that confirms that the synchronization is done. Please do not reach out to Support for missing products until you see that completion message, and can then confirm that your products are still in fact missing.

Full Sync

NOTE: Be careful not to do this too many times, you may exceed your daily API limit.

You can force a full synchronization with Revel by going in Vines OS to
RevelPOS > RevelPOS Settings
Scroll down to "Start sync process" and toggle it on.
SAVE.

You may need to give it some time, depending on the server load your changes should appear, normally between 5-30 minutes.  A few things determine the speed, partly how many items are being synchronized and also server load. 

Force Inventory Sync

To force a Sync with Revel and only update inventory, in Vines OS go to Revel > Settings and at the top of the menu click Sync Inventory. This is helpful if you have added new inventory on Revel and you want to sync it before the end of the day. Otherwise the inventory will sync at the end of the day.

Force a Product Sync

You can force Vines OS to look for any NEW products added on Revel by forcing a product synchronization. This will check for anything new that has been added on Revel. Without doing this, the new products will synchronize at the end of the day.

Sync missing orders

To search for orders that did not sync, go to Orders and filter on Order Type - Vines OS - no sync.

This will show you orders that cannot be synchronized to Revel, most often because the item is not in Revel or it is not recognized in Revel. On the invoice it will show you what item is not on Revel. These are possible solutions:

1. Add the item on Revel, or if it is already there and not recognized, you can map it by going to Revel > Items and scroll down to see if it is there. If you can't find it, please start a chat with support indicating the order number so we can assist you.

2. At the top of Revel > Items click on the 'Deleted on VOS' link. It will show items that at one point in time were imported or created on Vines OS and have since been removed from the database by request. If you see the product there, open it up, and set the Status to Published, and Save.
