POS Pin Login Behaviors

POS Order Management when using one PIN Code on Multiple Devices

Updated over a week ago

Using multiple devices to get through an afternoon rush? No problem!

Easily manage your orders under one PIN code with multiple devices.

  1. You can PIN login to multiple devices at the same time.

You can PIN login to iPad1, and create and order. You can simultaneously PIN login to iPad2, open a held order, and continue to help customers from a separate iPad. The order on iPad1 will remain unchanged.

  2. Draft orders (not yet held) will only stay on the original device. Always HOLD your order. They will show to the next staff who logs in, in red "Created by" for them to Cancel or Hold.

Draft Orders (ones that are not held) are saved to the device they were started on. This means if you start a new order on iPad 1 and forget to hold it, or get logged out, the order will stay locally on iPad1. It will not 'follow you' to the next device you PIN login to. If another staff member logs in with their PIN, your draft order will show because it is on the device and has not been held yet.

Please Note! If the same staff member goes, in the middle of a POS order, to the dashboard to edit another Club order, those parameters are going to be applied during customization. We recommend always holding the POS order before proceeding to the dashboard in order to make a customization on another order to avoid this situation. If they are already on the point of sale, it's better to search for the Club order on the point of sale and customize it there.

The staff member who logged in will ned to Cancel or Hold the order. If it is Held, it will be Held under your name. Best practice is to remember to HOLD your order before leaving the iPad so the next staff does not need to Hold it for you. When you sign into iPad 2, the draft order will not be there IF it was not Held. Once you're logged out of iPad 1, the order will remain there until closed out or placed on hold.

If you open an order on iPad1 and make adjustments to it, the order will automatically update on other devices when the order is pulled up.
