About Locations
You can create multiple locations, whether they are physical or virtual, and track inventory for each location. For each location, you will create inventory and specify taxes for each product type, per location. You will set for each location whether it is available for pick up orders, shipping orders, and whether it is a physical or virtual location.
NOTE: Only one location can be set for Shipping, whether it is for club orders or ecommerce orders.
Add a Location
To add a new location, go to Dashboard > Inventory and click the 'Locations' button in the upper right of the page.
Click the New Location button, then complete the following fields.
Title: Add a title for the location. This can be a real physical location or a virtual location, such as a Farmers Market.
Description: Add an optional description for this location or leave blank.
Pickup: Select 'yes' if customers can pick up orders at this location. If 'yes', then this location will be displayed as a pickup location option on the e-commerce checkout page and the club sign-up form. Inventory will be pulled from this location for orders picked up from the location with this IP address. If you have multiple locations for ecommerce, on the Shop landing page, the customer will choose what location they are planning to pick up from. Only wines with inventory at that location will show as available for purchase.
Shipping: Note: Only one location can be set for Shipping. Select 'yes' if you ship from this location. If toggled on, all ship-to orders will pull inventory from this location.
Club Shipping: Select 'yes' if shipping Club release orders from this location. Designate only one location for Club Shipping. If toggled on, all shipped club orders will pull inventory from this location. Note: Club orders for pickup will pull inventory from the location that the member set to pick up from. The Club sign-up page will show the options for the locations where 'pickup' is toggled on. Inventory will be pulled from that member's specified location.
IP address: NOTE: This must be done while on site at the physical location you are setting up. Your internet IP address is required for secure PIN login. Click the My IP button and the IP Address field will populate with your IP address.
TIP: If you ever have an issue to login using the PIN login, try to login from the main dashboard login which does not rely on your internet IP address. Once logged in, got to the Locations Page again and click on my IP to populate your current IP address. You can have multiple IP addresses saved.
Show on POS: Set to yes if you want to have the location set for a POS terminal, so all orders on the POS will pull inventory from this location. Example, Warehouse would be set to No so it does not show up to sell from on the POS locations setting.
Show on eCommerce: If checked, this location will appear available for pickup on the e-commerce checkout page and club sign-up form. If you have warehouse or a temporary location, you can set it to not show.
Temporary Locations
If you need to temporarily move inventory from a physical location to a short-term or virtual location, such as for a farmers market, you can create a location to serve that need. The IP address set for this location needs to be unique, so you would likely tether your iPad to your phone's IP address or use a public Wifi to set this.
Leave the 'Show' box unchecked, as you will most likely not want this temporary location showing as a location available for pickup on the e-commerce checkout page or club sign-up form.
Removing a location
If you need to remove a location, place a checkmark in front of the location that you want to remove, then click the 'Delete selected' button.
WARNING: Be careful deleting Locations as you will not be able to report on deleted locations.
Setting your Location on the POS
On your iPad or POS device, specify your Location from the POS sidebar at the bottom.
