Customer Choice Club Set Up

Setting up customer choice clubs where members can modify club release orders

Updated yesterday

If you want to allow your club members to log in to modify and customize the selections for their club orders, this article walks you through the steps. You can specify that members must choose from certain wine categories or a select group of designated wines and specify a minimum quantity requirement. You can also set specific wines for 'pickup' or 'ship' only so members cannot change the fulfillment when customizing their club order.

How to configure Custom Club

To enable the Custom Club option, go to Settings > General Settings and then scroll down to the Wine Club section. Look for the 'Offer custom club' option, toggle it on, and save the page.

Custom Club by Wine Category

If you want members to be able to customize their club order by choosing a wine category, go to Club > Wine Clubs, then click to open a club.

Next, scroll down to find 'Club requirement' and specify the minimum requirements for that club. For example, a 2-bottle red club must have two bottles of red. Custom orders will not be saved unless they meet this requirement.

If you require a minimum order amount, enter that amount. This will prevent members from being able to modify their order with less than the minimum amount you have entered in the wine category (e.g., 2 from the Red Wine category). Besides setting this requirement on the club page, you can also specify this when creating a new club release (if you do not see this option, please contact VinesOS to request it to be turned on). NOTE: In the console or at the POS, the club order can be created by admin with a different amount than what is set as the minimum required in the club. The logged-in member will see and be held to the minimum required amount, but only the admin will have the flexibility to change what is in the order, so if it is a special order, you can make any needed changes.

Custom Club by Wines

If you want your club members to be able to choose from only a select group of wines, go into the wines that you want to include and scroll down to the 'Limit Club Customer Choice' section. Select the club(s) for which you want the wine to be available during their club order configuration. Save the page.

Restricting fulfillment for specific wines

If you have the Locations feature set and you have specified certain wines for 'pickup' or 'ship' only, club members cannot change the fulfillment designation when customizing their club order. If they attempt to do so, the system will not allow it and display a warning message. This is an example of the warning message when a club member, customizing their club order, attempts to change the fulfillment option from 'pickup' to 'ship':

When you are ready to process, first review the Club Processing article. When it says to pause for Customer Choice clubs, there will be a link to this article on processing with Customer Choice.
