Variants

Create multiple variations for your products

Updated this week

Variants make it easy to offer multiple options of the same product, all in one place. With this feature, you can group different formats (like a bottle, can, four-pack, or growler) under a single product listing, instead of creating separate items for each. This keeps your catalog cleaner, simplifies management, and gives customers a more seamless shopping experience when choosing their preferred option.

Creating Variants

On the dashboard, navigate to Products > Categories. Select the Variant category list.

Click Add Variant to create your variant. Ensure Parent is set to Variants and set your title. Click Save.

You can view, delete, and reorder your variants back on the Variant category list.

Adding Variants to a Product

Once your variants are created, navigate to your product list and select the item you want to add variants to.

Navigate to the Variants tab under your product.

Click Add Row > Select Variant and choose any of the configured variants created on the variant category list.

Once selected, you can set a general price and a member price.

When you save, the set variants for that product will also create individual products. For example, if you added a glass variant to your Chardonnay, a separate product, Chardonnay Glass, will be created, with pricing set on the variant page.

With each variant product created, it will have its own inventory to manage. For example, if you added a Magnum variant option to your Chardonnay, a new Chardonnay Magnum product will be created with its own inventory. The Chardonnay Magnum inventory will NOT deplete from the actual Chardonnay item.

Default Variant Pricing

Want to set default pricing for your variants? Navigate to Settings > Product Settings and select the product level of choice.

All of your created variants will appear for a default price to be set.

When you set a default price, it will be used whenever a variant is added for that product type.

Please note! You must set a price and a member price for the price to be pulled.

For example, if you set the default glass price to $10 and the default glass member price to $6 under your desired product type, any time a glass variant is added to that product type, the set prices will be applied.

If the pricing is different from your set default, you can click and adjust the price before saving.

Coupons For Variants

Besides setting a default, general, and member price, you can also create coupons to apply to your variants.

On the coupon creation page, you can configure the coupon to apply to the variant type, variant product, or both.
