Custom buttons in VinesOS Point of Sale let you group and quickly access wines by special tags—like “Thanksgiving” or “Organic.” This makes checkout smoother and helps you spotlight key products.

Step 1: Open Settings from your dashboard.

Step 2: Choose Product Settings, then click into Wine.

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the Wines Manager to find Product Tags.

Step 4: Click Add Tag to create a new custom button.

Step 5: Decide where your button appears—on the Shopping Cart, the Point of Sale, or both.

Step 6: Edit the tag’s name as needed. Don’t forget to click Save.

Step 7: Go to your list of published wines. Select the wines you want to tag.

Step 8: At the bottom right, pick your new tag and click Add Tag.

Step 9: To remove a tag, filter your list by that tag (like “Thanksgiving”), select the wine, and click Remove Tag.

Step 10: On the Point of Sale, click a custom button to instantly filter wines by that tag. Click again to clear the filter.

Fine-Tune Wine Tagging Right From POS

You can togge tags on or off for individual wines directly from the POS on desktop.

Step 1: Filter by your custom tag in the Point of Sale.

Step 2: Click into the specific wine.

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and toggle which buttons (tags) you want that wine associated with.
