Stripe Setup FAQ
What is the settlement/payout schedule for funds to my bank account
Payouts are based on your setup with VinesOS, typically it is a 2 business day payout cycle. You can view your Stripe payout timeframes through the following methods:
Using the Stripe App: Log in to your Stripe account via the app to access payout details.
From the VinesOS Profile Page: Navigate to the Stripe section in your VinesOS profile to view payout information. However, this timeframe may extend if there is a weekend or a bank holiday. The exact processing time may also vary depending on your bank's policies and the specific terms of your Stripe account.
Can I bring my own Stripe account?
No: Our integration requires a VinesOS Connected Stripe account, so it does require a new Stripe account. Existing Stripe accounts are not compatible).
How long does an authorization last?
The authorization will place a hold for 48 hours before the funds are released. After that time the card can not be charged, so make sure to do a full capture within that time frame.
How do I know if the order is going to Stripe or our old processor?
You can tell by the transaction ID. The Stripe Transaction ID starts with "pi_"
Here's an example of a non-Stripe transaction ID:
How soon does the transaction show up in Stripe?
The transaction shows up in Stripe immediately. There is no delay.
Is there a place where we can see more detail on the transactions and reconciliations?
View bank reconciliations
Go to the sidebar menu and select Dashboard > Reconciliation. This page displays results for the date range you query, showing money settling to your bank account and allowing you to tie it to each order.
Filter transactions by selecting the desired date range. You can choose individual days or select 'All' to view the entire date range at once .
Click the Details button to see all the details of what order is settling in what batch payment. Use the Export button to export the report to a CSV file .
For reconciliation related to tax filings (e.g., 1099K), use the same Reconciliation page and select the appropriate date range, such as "Last year" .
View transaction charges
In VinesOS, directly in the order, and under the Payments section, you will see the transaction details. You do not need to log into Stripe to get this data. It pulls directly on processing, so the same data is on Stripe Express as you see on the actual order detail page.
