Set system settings separately for each type of product you sell, including wine, events, bundles, merchandise, and flights.
Go to Settings > Product Settings and choose the product type (e.g., Wine)
Each product setting may look slightly different, but in each product setting, you can set the member & non-member discounts, shipping settings (If eligible to ship), state tax, and tags.
Wine Product Setting
Active States
Under the 'Wine' product setting, the first thing you'll configure is your active state. These are going to be the states you are permitted to ship to.
State Tax
The next section will be to set 'State Taxes'. Some states do not have a sales tax or may have a different tax, so this is where you'll configure those settings. You'll also have the capability to add pickup order taxes and set the unit type.
Quantity
Disregard Inventory: If you do not want to restrict inventory for all wines, you can choose to have VinesOS disregard inventory. This means that if there is insufficient inventory for a wine, and you do not need to receive inventory, the product will still be available for purchase or for custom club orders. When this is selected, it overrides the inventory unavailable message. Related articles
Don't Show on Inventory Report: Check this option if you would rather not include wine counts in your inventory report.
Default Glass Volume: Set the Default Glass Volume to the decimal representing the amount of a full bottle, such as 0.2 if you pour five glasses from a bottle or 0.25 if you pour four glasses.
Kitchen Printer IP: Adding your kitchen printer IP will allow you to send these product types to your kitchen printer
Member & Non-Member Quantity Discounts
In this section, you'll set your member and non-member discounts. This discount is separate from the club processing discount, so you'll have to set discounts for every active club you offer.
If your members receive an additional discount when they purchase a case or a certain number of bottles, you will have to add multiple rows for your club. For example, the White Wine Club - 2 Btl receives a 10% discount when they purchase 1-11 bottles, but once they hit 12, it updates to 15%.
Offer on Customized Club Order - Toggle on if you'd like the discount applied to products when a member logs in and adds to their club order.
Non-member quantity discounts are typically only applied when a non-member purchases a minimum of a case
Count Sale Items, No Extra Discount - Sale wines count toward your case discount, but their sale price won’t be further reduced. For example, if one bottle is on sale for 30% off, it still counts as part of your 12-bottle case, and the other 11 bottles will receive the case discount (e.g., 10% off).

Shipping:
There are a few steps for shipping setup. First, determine if you want to use custom table rates, per state and number of bottles, or UPS/FedEx and/or GSL. See Shipper Set up for each.
Shipping Setup
Use the table to enter the Weight, Width, Height, and Length for each shipper based on the quantity of items in the order. **Important: Use whole numbers only. Do not include fractions or decimals in your dimensions, or you will receive a shipping error, and your orders may not be charged for shipping.
The handling fee is optional. We would like to encourage you to keep shipping costs low since the shipping cost is the #1 reason for cart abandonment.
Enter items up to the maximum you expect to receive in typical orders. If you enter up to 12 bottles in the shipping table, you can jump to 14, 16, 18, and 24 for example. If there is an order for 15 bottles, the shipping will be based on the next tier up, in this case, 16 bottles. If you enter up to 36 bottles and you get an order for 37 bottles or more, the shipping will show as $0, and the order will include a message "Due to the size of the order, shipping will be calculated separately." You can adjust the shipping fee on the order, and the customer will be notified.
You can override this weight for an individual item on the product editor page, 'Override shipping', and offer shipping included (if legal for your winery) on specific products only.
Order Booster for Shipping
Looking to encourage customers to spend more in your online store? Set up real-time messages that prompt them to add more bottles or increase their order to qualify for complimentary shipping. The system will prompt with whatever your customer is closer to hitting. This feature is currently not available for member use only. If this feature is not working, please toggle off 'Members Only.'
Pickup locations: Add if you offer more than one pickup location. Set the tax for each location. If using Revel, set the POS into which this will report inventory and order data. Learn more.
