Staff Incentives

How to include a dropdown list of your staff members in the sign-up form and track retail bottle sales for commissions

Updated over a week ago

Track and incentivize your staff to encourage new wine club sign-ups by including the names of your staff on the wine club sign-up page.

To enable this feature, go to the Settings > General Settings page. Scroll down to the Wine Club section, where you will see an option called Staff Incentive. Toggle on to add a new dropdown list on your Club Signup page, where selected staff names will show under "Who is helping you today?". Remember to Save.

Now go to Settings > Manage Users and choose which of your staff should show in the drop-down list. There is a 'Don't show on club signup' option which can be ticked. If you do not check this box, by default, the user's name will display in the club sign-up form. Here is a screenshot of the option on the user edit page:

Below is a screenshot of the dropdown list field as seen in the wine club signup form. Customers can select the team member who helped them sign-up for the wine club.

In the Members Dashboard, the staff name will appear on the member name, under the column ‘Staff’, and on the members export it will also show in a column ‘Signed up by’.

If you need to customize the field description in the club form (e.g., change it from "Who is helping you today?" to whatever you wish), please contact us with your request and we will update this for you.

Staff column on Members List page

If you go to your Members page, there is a Staff column displayed there. The staff column shows a staff person's name for each member listed when the following applies:
1. The member selected who helped them during online sign-up from the dropdown list included in the sign-up form.
2. When the staff manually creates the membership.

The only time that the Staff column is empty is when the member signs up online but doesn't select a staff person from the dropdown field.

Track Retail / Bottle to Go sales for commissions

Incentivize Staff to sell more wine to go. Every month or pay cycle, you can pull a report to see the total bottles sold and pay commissions to the staff based on the total sales of bottles to go. Make sure your POS menu is set up to show Bottles to Go or Bottles Retail vs Bottles on site. From the Orders menu, click Export in the top row of buttons, and choose "Staff Bottle Commission".
