How to import wine or product details by spreadsheet upload

Updated over a week ago

Importing Products in Bulk

If you want to import products in bulk, please refer to this article. You will make a copy of the Google Sheet and rename it.

Revel import

Use the VinesOS & Revel import spreadsheet if using Revel. Note: The SKU is the mapping identifier, so make sure you download all from Revel, and add the SKU into what you upload.) If you upload without having the correct Revel SKU you will have duplicate items in VinesOS.

You will need to rearrange the spreadsheet, mapping it to this one.

On the spreadsheet, it's important to keep the top row, and not change the heading names. Items can be put into different columns, you can move them around, but keep the header the same. Also NOTE:

  • Price is required.

  • Quantity is required or it will show as 'Sold out'

  • Set a unique SKU for each wine.

  • The ‘varietal’ field is a single value, VinesOS can’t assign multiple varietals per wine. You can create a blend, such as GSM.

  • Make sure you have added each varietal in Vines OS before importing.

  • Series = category - also must be added before import

  • Default_graphic: should be 1 or 2 or 3 (1=Red, 2=White, 3=Rose) if you are using default graphics. This is a good option while you are adding the wine images individually.

  • Our sample rows and rows with notes should be deleted before importing.

Exporting Data

VinesOS provides multiple wine product export options for wine data and feeds. To get to the product export menu, from the VinesOS sidebar, go to Products > Wine (or Items) and then click on the Export button at the top of the page.

Export options:

Inventory

This export includes all products, quantity on hand, layaway, and sold.

Marketing

This export includes product QR codes and other product information which can be used for marketing purposes.

Pix.wine

Pix.wine is a winery-focused directory that includes a wine search engine. Pix helps wineries get found, markets for them, and ultimately links consumers to the winery shopping carts. The Pix.wine export on VinesOS will give you an internal preview of what the exported data will look like on the Pix.wine website. The actual external feed link that you will use for inclusion at Pix.wine is found at the bottom of your General Settings page at Settings > General Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the External Feed Products URL section and the Pix.wine Feed URL.

Google Shop

The Google Shop export is for the Google Merchant feed. The feed is a file that contains a list of products you want to advertise through Google Merchant Center. The actual external feed link that you will use for inclusion in Google Merchant is found at the bottom of your General Settings page at Settings > General Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the External Feed Products URL section and the Google Merchant Feed URL.
